Benjamin G. Wilkinson was proficient in both Biblical Hebrew and Greek, which were central to his scholarly work as a Seventh-day Adventist theologian and biblical scholar.  He served as Professor of Greek and Hebrew at Battle Creek College and later as Dean of Theology at Washington Missionary College, where his expertise in the original biblical languages underpinned his defense of the King James Version in his book Our Authorized Bible Vindicated (1930).  In this work, he critiqued modern Bible translations based on textual changes in Greek manuscripts like Codex Vaticanus and Codex Sinaiticus, arguing for the superiority of the Received Text in both Hebrew and Greek. Benjamin G. Wilkinson served in the Seventh-day Adventist Church for 56 years before retiring from active work.  His career began in 1891 when he enrolled at Battle Creek College to study for the ministry and included various roles such as evangelist, educator, conference president, and administrator. He held leadership positions in North America, Europe, and Haiti, and served 24 consecutive years at Washington Missionary College, including as president from 1936 to 1946.
