1919 Bible Conference
Join Rebecca Harder as she investigates an unsolved crime within Adventism: The 1919 Bible Conference. Every issue we face today within Adventism is found at the 1919 Bible Conference which most have never heard of because the General Conference never wanted you to. Trinity vs One True God, New vs Old View on the Daily, King of the North, Sanctuary, Investigative Judgement and whether the Spirit of Prophecy is to be followed and if so, how much of it? As today, Spirit of Prophecy was under attack. All these topics, and more, were discussed and many were hotly debated. So little evidence is left to investigate, but of the 1300 pages of transcripts, and the official writings by the General Conference, letters between the individuals who were the prime suspects and witnesses of the crime committed, Rebecca has pieced together a three part series touching on highlights of the conference.

You might think calling the 1919 Bible Conference an unsolved crime is being dramatic. The General Conference simply calls it an "episode" in adventist progression. Well take a look and decide for yourself.
This series came about due to my study into the DAILY and JS Washburn Letters which then led me to the conference. I would quip as he did about the Daily... "I think of the Daily... Continually", And so did I about both the Daily and the 1919 Bible Conference. A fascinating study which reveals why The SDA General Conference is so confused and so divided and all the splinter groups. The conference clearly shows who brought in the deceptions and it is quite shocking!
I found approaching the indepth conversations from an Investigator perspective to be fun and make it easier to digest the topics debated. The hardest part of this series was choosing what to put into each of the 3 parts and trying to keep them around 1 hour each part. There was so much more said than included in the series. If you are interested in more, I would suggest going directly to Adventist Archives and reading the 1308 pages of transcripts yourself.
*Around the 1 hour mark I made a written error on slide referring to the first advent when it was the second. I corrected in speaking but the slide is incorrect.

It looks at the work God does inside us in soil experiences of our life when we might feel all alone, or not in a position to serve but only pray and wait patiently for God to do a work in us in order to more fully use us for His glory.
